Ever since its announcement, I’ve been looking forward to David & Maria Lapham’s LODGER published by Shelly Bond’s Black Crown and IDW Publishing @idwcomics @marialapham.
It’s available, and I just read it. It didn’t disappoint. It’s a crime comic with something else brewing under the surface. Issue #1 introduces and develops what appears to be the two leads. I like the idea that it’s a taut and focused chase. (I hope it stays that way. Leave the large cast and canvas to STRAY BULLETS. Also, LODGER better not get in the way of STRAY BULLETS publishing schedule. I’m looking at you, Shelly Bond.)
To wrap it up, the Laphams are at it again with their off-kilter storytelling and great B&W artwork. If you like the crime genre check out LODGER and support their endeavor and my new favorite publisher Black Crown.
